Wine of the Week: Benazzoli Agata- Pinot Grigio

Nestled in the gentle hills along the southeastern shore of Lake Garda in Italy’s Veneto region, Benazzoli is a family-owned winery with four generations of legacy poured into every bottle. Since 2006, sisters Claudia and Giulia Benazzoli have brought a feminine touch to this traditionally masculine craft—creating “wines made by women, not just forwomen,” each label painted with dreamlike portraits evoking the wine’s character.

“Agata”, their compelling Pinot Grigio, is a delicate masterpiece. Its straw-yellow hue offers a first glimpse at a wine that balances subtle minerality with layered aromas. In the nose, austere hints of stone and white rock transition beautifully into golden apple, gentle herbs, and wildflower notes. On the palate, savor sage, yellow apple, citrus, and a savory lift—bringing freshness and harmony with every sip.

As a Pinot Grigio from northern Italy, this wine reflects the regional style: light-bodied, crisp, and refreshingly acidic—perfect for warm days and long evenings.
