We’re starting Jasper Eats Week in the best way we know how—by making great food even more accessible to our community. Starting today, our fresh-baked, high-quality baguettes are just $2 every day at Main Street Market here in Jasper, Alabama.
This is something deeply personal for us. Jody and his family travel to France often, and one thing they’ve always admired is how the French see bread—not as a luxury, but as a staple of daily life. A good baguette should be affordable, attainable, and baked fresh each day. In France, the price of a baguette was actually regulated until the 1980s—and even after that, it has remained affordable so everyone can enjoy fresh bread daily. We love that philosophy, and we’re bringing it here to Jasper.
And these aren’t just any baguettes. They’re full of flavor, with a crisp golden crust and a tender, airy center. The kind of bread that practically begs you to tear off a piece before you get home.
How to Enjoy Your Baguette (the French Way & Beyond)
With cheese – Pair with our 18- or 24-month Parmigiano Reggiano, creamy Green Hill soft cheese, or tangy Asher Blue.
As a sandwich – Try a Parisian classic with butter, ham, and cheese, or create your own market-inspired favorite.
For goûter – In France, children enjoy a baguette with chocolate tucked inside for their afternoon snack.
